Downtown Nampa Needs you
It’s easy to see orange cones and traffic backups and think, “I’ll come back another time.”
That’s understandable.
But if everyone waits until construction is over, the businesses affected by it are the ones who pay the price.
The 11th Ave S project is expected to continue for the next few months. During that time, parking and traffic patterns around parts of downtown will shift. Some areas, especially near 2nd Street, may feel more restricted than usual.
But downtown is still accessible.
There is still parking around downtown, including near 3rd Street and 1st Street. The downtown parking garage remains open, with access from 3rd Street S during construction. It may take a little more planning, but you can still get where you’re going.
When you make the extra effort to visit a downtown business right now, you’re doing more than buying lunch, coffee, a record, a haircut, a book, a gift, or a dozen donuts.
You’re telling that business owner:
You’re not forgotten.
Your work matters.
We still want you here.
That’s how a healthy downtown gets built. Not just through big projects and future improvements, but through the small decisions people like you make every week.
So this week, pick one downtown business and go on purpose.
Park a block away if you need to.
Take the short walk.
Bring a friend.
Spend your money where you want your city to thrive.
Construction is temporary. The kind of downtown we build together lasts longer.
